Break the Silence national core group meet in SFI

With a purpose of inspiring Break the Silence Program Partners so as to strengthen the National Network for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention (CSAEP), Stairway held a 3-day session last April 7-9, 2015.

Participated by eight (8) non-government organizations (NGO) and one (1) Local Government Unit, the activity focused mainly in describing and assessing the BTS operation in their respective areas of operation, and at the same time, defining the Break the Silence National Network’s purpose and objectives, membership and operational mechanism.

The activities, which were facilitated mainly by SFI-BTS Team, provided opportunity for all the members not only to recognize their individual contribution to the program’s advocacy, but also assisted them to determine their strengths and challenges along institutionalization of the Break the Silence Program in their respective organizations.

One of the significant highlights of the activity was the crafting of the 3-year operational plan for the network. BTS CSAP advocacy materials such as the Animation Flip Charts and the comics were also distributed to the participants during the activity.
